The long awaited sub-program of the Visegrad Artist Residency Program targeting writers, poets, journalists and translators was recently launched by the International Visegrad Fund, of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
As the Group's website reports, altogether 16 grantees will receive a residency stipend within the Visegrad Literary Residency Program in 2012.
Implemented in cooperation with the Cracow-based Villa Decius Association, the literary residencies will enable selected outstanding writers of fiction and non-fiction, poets and literary translators, essayists, critics and journalists to spend three-month residencies in the following host institutions in the Visegrad Group countries: the Arts Institute in Prague, Petõfi Literary Museum in Budapest, Villa Decius in Cracow or the Centre for Information on Literature in Bratislava.
