Diplomacy & Trade Business & Culture Club

A club has been launched for people from the diplomatic community, top executive levels of business, industry and finance. It is to promote a discussion of business and economic issues and to provide a venue for social gathering and sharing cultural understanding.

The DT Business & Culture Club (The Club) is a membership organization with members drawn from the diplomatic community, top executive levels of business, industry and finance. The purpose of the Club is to promote a discussion of business and economic issues and provide a venue for social gathering and sharing cultural understanding, it is meant to be non-political and non-partisan. It will support the charitable goals of the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest Foundation through various fund raising events throughout the year.

As a business development organization that focuses on building relationships and promoting member businesses within the international market, it provides excellent networking opportunities for its members. The Club is hosting multiple events both large and small, providing warm referrals, and facilitating face to face introductions differentiates The Club from other associations. From time to time, unique speakers provide insight to timely issues, including the Ambassadors of various countries to Hungary.

The Club was launched at the end of September with a mini gala attracting over 100 guests at the headquarters of Caprice International in Szentendre, just north of Budapest. The main speaker of the event was H.E. Gauri Shankar Gupta, the Ambassador of India to Hungary who introduced his country to the guests and talked about business opportunities. It was followed by a fashion show featuring a taste of the new fall and winter collection of Roberto Cavalli and Caprice.

As a foretaste of The Club’s intention to offer very special travel opportunities to unique destinations around the world, a short film was presented about what India has to offer in this respect. A dinner of delicacies and casino games offered to the guests were accompanied by live jazz music.
