Dozens of guests – diplomats and businesspeople – gathered at the 30-year-old Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest on Monday evening for the latest 'The Club' event organized by Diplomacy&trade once again after a long hiatus due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
On the 12th anniversary of the establishment of The Club, participants were greeted by Diplomacy&Trade publisher Peter Freed and the Area General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, Stephan Interthal.
The lecturer of the evening was university professor Tamás Magyarics, a former Hungarian ambassador to Ireland and a regular author of international analysis articles in Diplomacy&Trade. He talked about a very topical issue: the possible outcome of mid-term elections in the United States this Tuesday and the possible implications of the results in the United States and the world.
The lecture and the ensueing Q&A session was followed by networking as well as tasting a gastronomy selection offered by the hotel and wines by the Kovács Nimród Winery.
