The Diplomacy and Trade Business Club ('The Club') held its latest networking event at the British Embassy in Budapest this Thursday to say farewell to the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Hungary, Greg Dorey.
In his opening speech, Diplomacy and Trade publisher Péter Freed reminded the audience of ambassadors and businesspeople that Ambassador Dorey has been a great supporter of both the publication and the events of ‘The Club’. Budapest Week Publishing managing editor Péter Kerényi recalled the times when Greg Dorey was in charge of commercial issues at the British Embassy in 1989-1992.
Ambassador Dorey – who received a collection of photos about his appearances at different events in the past four years in Hungary – thanked the organizers of this farewell event, his last public appearance before leaving for his new post in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
