D&T Club networking event

Following the inaugural gathering in September this year, the DT Business & Culture Club (The Club) held its first monthly networking event in the Corinthia Hotel Budapest this week. The main speaker of the evening was the British Ambassador to Hungary, Greg Dorey.

After welcoming comments by the publisher of Diplomacy and Trade magazine and the founder of The Club,  Peter Freed, the General Manager of the Corinthia Hotel Budapest, Adrian Ellis introduced his hotel and its services to the guests of the event.

The main speaker of the evening, the British ambassador to Hungary, Greg Dorey talked about the evolvement of British-Hungarian business and economic relations. He pointed out the importance of the United Kingdom being the second biggest foreign investor in the world after the United States, which is even more significant in the light of the fact that the UK's population is only one hundredth of that of the world.

The DT Business & Culture Club (The Club) is a membership organization with members drawn from the diplomatic community,  top executive levels of business, industry and finance. The purpose of the Club is to promote a discussion of business and economic issues and to provide a venue for social gathering and sharing cultural understanding. The Club is nonpolitical and nonpartisan. The Club will support charitable activities throughout the year.
