PM Viktor Orbán published a brief message: "May God rest Queen Elizabeth II!"
The head of the main Hungarian opposition party ‘Democratic coalition’, Ferenc Gyurcsány wrote that Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom was an epoch-making monarch of the historic moment, whom he appreciated "from far away, from here in what seems another world".
According to his wife, MEP Klára Dobrev, “Elizabeth II did not give in to hatred and did not allow the future to be swallowed up in the bitterness of a glorious past. Without her, this might not have happened. May she rest in peace!"
