New EU Representative in Hungary appointed

The European Commission has appointed Gábor Zupkó to the position of Head of Representation of the Commission in Hungary as of December 1. Zupkó, a Hungarian national, is currently Director "Resources" in DG Communication.

Gábor Zupkó joined the Commission in 2005 as Principal Adviser in the Office for Infrastructure and Logistics in Brussels (OIB). In 2008, he became the Director of OIB. He holds a PhD in management and business administration. As Head of Representation of the Commission in Hungary he will replace Tamás Szûcs whose term expires on December 1, 2015.
