Forty members and friends of Democrats Abroad-Hungary have recently gathered in a vineyard on Csobánc near Lake Balaton to celebrate U.S. President Barack Obama’s 50th birthday with a luau in recognition of the President’s Hawaiian birthplace.

The celebration included Hawaiian-inspired costumes, local wine, piña coladas, and food prepared by the guests, as well as ukulele music, hula dancing and lots of fun.

Among the delicious desserts was a pineapple upside down cake with fifty candles, which were blown out after the guests sang Happy Birthday to President Obama and to the Chair of the Nominations Committee at Democrats Abroad-Hungary, David McCall, who both were born on August 4th.
