The Club pays farewell to Ambassador Gupta

Close to a hundred people (diplomats and businesspeople) attended the latest meeting of the Diplomacy & Trade Business Club (‘The Club’) that paid farewell to Indian Ambassador Gauri Shankar Gupta at the Continental Hotel Budapest this Monday.

At the event, Ambassador Gupta looked back at the three years and four months he spent in Hungary, followed by a farewell speech to him by his ‘spiritual brother’ author Péter Müller.

In addition, Ambassador Gupta held a lecture entitled ‘science and spirituality’, a subject he spoke on at various locations throughout Hungary in the past three years.

The General Manager of Continental Hotel Budapest, Zoltán Géher showed the guests of the club event some slides of the history of the building that used to be in the place where the hotel is located now at the corner of Dohány utca and Nyár utca.

Following the speeches, guests – that also included member of the Indian community in Hungary – could enjoy a buffet dinner and a performance of Indian dances.
