Construction output volume in Hungary increased by 3.2% in one year and was down by 5.9% compared to the previous month, according to data published this Wednesdy by the country's Central Statistical Office.
The volume of construction output in April 2022 surpassed the previous year’s level by 3.2%, according to raw data. Out of the main groups of construction the output at construction of buildings decreased by 1.2%, that of civil engineering grew by 11.4%. Based on seasonally and working day adjusted indices construction output decreased by 5.9% compared to the March one.
In April 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year:
Out of the two main groups of construction the output at construction of buildings lessened by 1.2% year-on-year, that of civil engineering grew by 11.4%..
Among the divisions of construction production decreased by 12.8% in the construction of buildings. At the same time civil engineering output surpassed by 9.5%, that of specialised constructions by 13.2% the previous year’s level.
The volume of new contracts concluded increased by 33.9%, within it the volume of new contracts for the construction of buildings was 43.4% higher and the volume regarding civil engineering grew by 25.2% in relation to the April 2021 base.
The volume of the end-of-April stock of contracts at construction enterprises was 8.0% above the end-of-April-2021 level. The volume of contracts was down by 8.8% for the construction of buildings and up by 20.6% for civil engineering, year-on-year.
In the first four months of 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year:
Construction output rose by 12.1%.
