EUR 387 Mn Surplus in the External Trade in Goods

The value of Hungarian export in EUR terms lessened in December 2024 by 0.5%, that of import by 7.0% compared to the same period of the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reports.

The balance of the external trade in goods improved by EUR 684 million. Compared to the previous month, the level of trade in goods declined by 19% on the export side and by 17% on the import one.

In December 2024:
The value of exports amounted to EUR 10.2 billion (HUF 4,214 billion), that of imports to EUR 9.8 billion (HUF 4,054 billion).

The balance of the external trade in goods was EUR 387 million (HUF 159 billion).

The share of EU member states (EU27_2020) was 74% in exports and 72% in imports.

In December 2024 compared to a year earlier:
The value of exports decreased by 0.5%, that of imports by 7.0% in EUR terms.
