External Trade Deficit in Goods: EUR 1.1 Billion

The value of Hungarian exports was 13% and that of Hungarian imports 23% higher in EUR terms in July 2022 than in the same period of the previous year and the balance of external trade in goods deteriorated by EUR 975 million over this period, the Central Statistical Office reports.

Compared to the previous month, the level of goods exports decreased by 10% and that of goods imports by 3.9%.

In July 2022:
The value of exports amounted to EUR 10,813 million (HUF 4,348 billion) and that of imports to EUR 11,962 million (HUF 4,804 billion).

The deficit on external trade in goods was EUR 1.1 billion (HUF 456 billion).

The share of EU Member States (EU27_2020) was 77% in exports and 71% in imports.

In July 2022 compared to a year earlier:
The value of exports increased by 13% and that of imports by 23% in EUR terms.
