The value of Hungarian exports was 3.4% higher, while that of import 4.0% lower in EUR terms in April 2023 than in the same period of the previous year, MTI reported quoting official figures by the Central Statistical Office. The balance of the Hungarian economy’s external trade in goods improved by EUR 836 million.
Compared to the previous month, the level of export in goods decreased by 19% and the import of goods lessened by 16%.
In April 2023:
The value of exports amounted to EUR 11.5 billion (HUF 4,350 billion), that of imports to EUR 11.2 billion (HUF 4,248 billion).
The surplus of the external trade in goods was EUR 308 million (HUF 102 billion).
The share of EU Member States (EU27_2020) was 78% in exports and 68% in imports.
In April 2023 compared to a year earlier:
The value of export increased by 3.4%, while that of import decreased by 4.0% in EUR terms.
