Hungarian Economy Stagnates in Q1 2025

The volume of Hungary’s gross domestic product stagnated according to raw data and was 0.4% lower according to seasonally and calendar adjusted and reconciled data in the 1st quarter of 2025 than in the corresponding period of the previous year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday.

Compared to the previous quarter, the economic performance lessened by 0.2% according to seasonally and calendar adjusted and reconciled data.

The total performance of services positively affected gross domestic product. It was industry and construction that slowed the economic performance.
