Teacher Shortage in Hungary

Barely a week and a half before the start of the school year, more than a thousand upper grade and over four hundred lower grade teacher jobs are advertised by the Ministry of the Interior.

According to educators ’advocacy organizations, the situation is tragic, and if the government does not decide on a pay rise, there will be no educators in a few years to teach the children, as a lot of people will retire while starting careers dwindle, portfolio.hu reports.
