4MW/8MWh energy storage systems operated by FEH Solar One Ltd. (a subsidiary of Futureal Energy Partners) have begun operating at five locations within HelloParks’ logistics parks in Maglód, Fót and Páty, all in the outskirts of the capital.
According to a Monday announcement by Futureal Energy Partners, the green investment — with a combined capacity of 4 megawatts (MW) and a storage capacity of 8 megawatt-hours (MWh) — was realized with a total investment of HUF 1.665 billion, including a non-repayable European Union grant of HUF 536.29 million.
The new units will facilitate the more efficient use of locally generated solar energy, reduce peak loads on the grid, and support more energy-efficient operations at logistics centers, the company explained.
HelloParks, an industrial real estate developer and member of the Futureal Group, will meet the entire electricity demand of its facilities from renewable sources starting January 1, 2025. The operation of the new energy storage systems is aligned with the facilities’ electricity consumption and the output of on-site solar power plants.
Three energy storage systems, each with a capacity of 1 MW and 2 MWh, and two systems, each with a capacity of 0.5 MW and 1 MWh, have been installed at the five sites. The project covered the entire development process, from planning and permitting through equipment procurement, installation, and grid integration to commissioning. As part of this, the company also obtained the necessary accreditation for operation, Futureal Energy Partners announced.
