The product range of Interspar hypermarkets has been expanded with environmentally friendly sandwich packers and food containers. The company aims to help households reduce plastic waste.
The new features in Interspar hypermarkets include the BPA-free, vegan, machine-washable Snack'n'Go food bag and the Boc'n'Roll washable sandwich wrapper. The company said in a statement that both could be excellent alternatives to disposable for packaging such as folpack, napi.hu reports.
"The challenge for a sustainable future is how we can reduce household plastic waste while maintaining the comfort of shopping and everyday life. Spar is constantly expanding the number of its environmentally conscious products in order to make the living environment sustainable," Márk Maczelka, the retail chain’s Head of Communications explained.
The Snack'n'Go food pouch is made of durable material and is designed for everyday use. The stain-repellent interior of the pouch does not allow moisture to pass through, but at the same time it has excellent breathability. It can be used for fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, various seeds and even cookies.
The Boc'n'Roll washable sandwich wrapper is an excellent alternative to disposable aluminum foil or folpack. The pack, which can be changed and used as a tray, can hold a sandwich, pastry or even several fruits. It is machine washable at 30 degrees.
