The 45th Travel Exhibition and 31st Budapest Boat Show opened at the Hungexpo Budapest Exhibition and Congress Center this Thursday.
At the opening ceremony, the President of the Hungarian Tourism Association Foundation, Péter Princzinger stressed that although the world is facing new challenges, tourism is an industry of peace even in the midst of difficulties.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Madagascar's Minister of Tourism, Randriamandranto Joël, called his country's participation as guest of honor at the travel exhibition a recognition of quality and sustainability. The island country offers exceptional attractions and a wide range of tourist attractions, and it has a special link with Hungary as the famous traveler Móric Benyovszky played an important role in 18th century Madagascar, and his memory is still preserved in street names there.
The Director of Strategy and Business Development, Hungexpo Plc, Klára Tihanyi said that the importance of travel has not diminished in the age of the internet, and that the only thing that has changed over the past 45 years is the rise of active tourism, which is no longer a challenge to cross national borders but to cross the borders of personal achievement.
The 45th Travel Exhibition and the 31st Budapest Boat Show held simultaneously, welcome exhibitors from 100 countries until February 26.
