VéNégy Festival: Sixty Concerts on Five Stages

In addition to theater and street theater productions and family programs, there will be sixty musical programs on five stages from June 20 to 23 in Nagymaros at the VéNégy Festival and Theater Meeting, named after the Visegrád Four (V4) organization.

Along with the British drum 'n' bass and trip-hop trio Kosheen, announced last year, the event will also feature well-known artists and DJs from the Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian popular music scene, the organizers told MTI on Wednesday.

On the main stage, 30Y, AWS, Beton.Hofi, Dzsúdló, Elefánt, Irie Maffia, Tankcsapda, Analog Balaton, Aron Andras & The Black Circle Orchestra, Aurevoir., Brains, Firkin will play while Co Lee will also be performing with a live band show. Subscribe will play a tribute show to Rage Against The Machine in Nagymaros, and on the final day of the festival the band Misztrál will play.

There will also be an exciting line-up of music from the Visegrád countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia). Anika Iris from Bratislava will perform her indie-pop songs, while the Czech Republic will be represented by Tygroo, who will play electronic music with Balkan motifs, jazz and rap elements. Poland is represented by Pau (Paulina), playing post-punk.

The repertoire of the local up-and-coming bands ranges from light fusion jazz to electronic music, progressive rock and metalcore. Performing will be Cserihanna, discovered by the Hangfoglaló (Sound Occupier) program, Juhász Zoli, Géem, Labek & Chrobak, Gorg & Benzol, Selah Vie, Szlimmy, Vodka For Kids, Noémi Barkóczi and László Sallai, Flanger Kids, Lil Frakk, Mehringer, Slapstick?, Sisi, Young B!TE and Zaekar. Sunday's rock day will be rounded off by a concert by the Sea Bishop, Wires and Woodstock Barbie.

VéNégy will also feature a dance party; a mix of guitar performances and electronic music; Oiee will be performing an all-night DJ set; and Techno Yoga. The opening day will feature the Be Massive Horizon Party, the Saturday drum and bass day will feature Ludmilla's sets and the closing day will feature Spigiboy.
