The European Commission (EC) has approved the application for the inclusion of 'Csopak' / 'Csopaki' wines in Hungary in the Register of Protected Designations of Origin (PDOs), the EC said in a statement.
It has also been geographically determined from which areas wines are protected, according to which the production area of 'Csopak' / 'Csopaki' wines is the first hill range in the eastern basin of the northern shore of Lake Balaton from Csopak to Alsóörs.
They also added that the Csopaki wines have a discreet aroma, but at the same time they are characterized by a richness of flavor and aroma, which ensures the elegance of the Csopaki wines.
