Hotel of the Year Awards Presented

The Hotel of the Year awards were handed over Friday evening, the winner of the five-star category was the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants (MSZÉSZ) told MTI.

According to the statement, the MSZÉSZ organizes the competition in partnership with Visit Hungary, on the basis of which the hotels are ranked and the best hotels are awarded.

MSZÉSZ launched the competition in 2013 with the aim of presenting the sector's outstanding hotels as role models to the industry and to raise guests' awareness of hotels offering high quality services, they added.

According to the announcement, the jury took into account the quality of the hotels' offerings, innovative improvements in operations and market performance compared to competitors, as well as the exemplary staffing policies presented in the competition.

The winner of the Hotel of the Year 2024 award in the 5-star/5-star superior category is the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, in the 4-star/4-star superior "full service" category outside the capital is the Hotel Európa Fit in Hévíz, and in the 4-star/4-star superior "full service" category in Budapest is the Crowne Plaza Budapest; the Palatinus Boutique Hotel in Pécs in the 4 star/4 star superior "limited service" category outside the capital, the Hotel Moments Budapest in the 4 star/4 star superior "limited service" category in Budapest, the ibis Styles Budapest Citywest in the 3 star/3 star superior "limited service" category in Budapest.

The jury awarded special prizes to Hotel Helikon in Keszthely, Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel in Székesfehérvár and Verno House in Budapest.
