Twelve Hungarian hotels are included in the Michelin Guide Global Hotel Selection this year, Michelin Guide says in a press release.
The Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest and the Matild Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, received a two-key rating. Ten other hotels are listed with one Michelin key, all of which were already on last year’s list.
The 2026 Hungarian selection thus includes ten hotels in Budapest and two – the Hotel Petit Bois in Balatonfüred and the Platán Manor in Tata – in the countryside.
The Michelin Guide’s global hotel selection now encompasses more than 9,400 hotels, including 2,832 hotels with a Michelin Key rating. Since the announcement of the Michelin Key ratings in October 2025, the global selection has expanded by more than 2,200 hotels, with 470 hotels joining this year.
The world’s leading restaurant guide has awarded Hungarian hotels the Michelin Key designation for the second time this year. The system is considered the Michelin star for hotels and recognizes excellence in hospitality, design, service, and an authentic connection to the local setting.
