The first four months of the year 2021 were still about to closing, but the last three months of the year have seen the turnover of the "peaceful" year 2019, so Budapest Spas Ltd. is very optimistic about this year.
The net revenue of Budapest Spa and Thermal Baths Ltd. in 2021 exceeded the 2020 figure by more than half a billion forints. They expect that in 2022, their revenues will reach 75 percent of the revenues of the last year before the pandemic, Infostart quotes the CEO of the company, Ildikó Szűts as saying.
"The year 2021 was better than 2020, despite being closed for 4 months. Even so, our net sales increased by more than half a billion forints. Our expected result is HUF 818 million better than in the original business plan, basically because the last 2-3 months of the year improved significantly, we had many days that were close to the peacetime level of 2019," she said.
However, they were unable to start any investments, as the pandemic caused a total loss of HUF 21 billion in revenue. This also means that one energy efficiency investment will be postponed to 2022.
