The ice skating season has started at Hungary's most popular and atmospheric winter sports venue, the ice rink in the City Park in Budapest.
The operator of the facility, the Budapest Sports Service Center (BSK), has told the Hungarian state news agency MTI that it welcomes visitors with well-trained staff and a high-quality equipment fleet, including 2,000 pairs of skates for rent.
In addition to the general public, the ice rink is also open to the youngest age groups, with a qualified team of instructors to help kindergarten and school groups, and is a central venue for various sports and corporate events and team-building activities.
Tickets - which have been available at the same price for years - are best purchased online, taking into account epidemiological considerations, but are also available at local ticket offices. In the first phase, two-thirds of the 12,000 square metres of ice will be available for sports and recreation; masks are compulsory in the indoor areas of the City Park Ice Rink.
