Kärcher has opened a state-of-the-art service and logistics center in Biatorbágy, just southwest of Budapest. The center was officially inaugurated this Monday.
Anna Éber, managing director of Kärcher Hungary, which sells and services various cleaning systems, said at the event that the center, which was built with a HUF 50 million investment, represents a new level of service quality for Kärcher, which is necessary due to their increased market presence.
The expansion has increased the service area by 30%, and two new diagnostic and workstations that meet manufacturer standards will be put into operation during the summer, increasing their capacity to 10 workstations. The logistics area has grown to 400 square meters, which allows for more efficient stocking and reduces delivery times, the director added.
As part of the development, a showroom and a shop have also been set up, where customers can view mainly industrial machines, but products from the household segment will also be available.
Kärcher is a family-owned company based in Winnenden, near Stuttgart. The company employs 17,000 people worldwide, is present in 85 countries, and manufactures machines and tools at 17 locations around the world.
