Another nine people (all of them suffering from chronic illnesses) died of the Covid-19 disease in Hungary in the past 24 hours, raising the official number of deceased in the current pandemic to 300 in this country.
The confirmed number of people infected with the coronavirus now stands at 2,727. There are 10,071 people in compulsory home quarantine and 536 recovered. 983 infected people are treated in hospital – 50 of them on ventilators. The official number of samples tested in an accredited laboratory by the authorities in this country of 9.8 million people is 70,300.
According to the Operational Group, Hungary is now in the period of cluster infections, when the virus spreads via social interaction. The disease can therefore be present anywhere. It’s vital for everyone to stay home and observe the recommendations and movement restrictions, especially elderly people, students and those who have returned from abroad.
