The heads of the National Election Office (NVI) and the National Election Commission (NVB) held a briefing on Thursday for ambassadors accredited to Hungary about the parliamentary election to be held on April 12.
Róbert Sasvári, President of the National Election Commission and Attila Nagy, President of the National Election Office welcomed diplomats this Thursday at the headquarters of the National Election Office, where – similarly to previous years’ practice – they provided key information related to the conduct of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The President of the NEO gave a detailed overview on the Hungarian electoral system, the legislative changes since the general elections held in 2022, as well as on the steps made by the Office for the preparation of the elections.
He also highlighted the main guarantees of the electoral process and presented the rules for international observers. The President of the NEC summarized the rules of procedure of the NEC and previous experiences.
