24 new patients died in the past 24 hours in Hungary – this is another negative record after Tuesday when 20 people died of the infection in this country.
Of the deceased, 17 were over the age of seventy, but there was also among them a 21-year-old woman with severe thrombocytopenia and cerebral hemorrhage as the underlying disease. The official death toll rose to 877 while 9,149 had already recovered.
The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 816 new Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 33,114. The number of active infected people is 23,088.
35% of the active infected, 49% of the dead and 33% of the recovered are from Budapest. 656 patients with coronavirus are being hospitalized, 41 of whom are on a ventilator, according to the government coronavirus information website.
