The Hungarian Canoe Federation and the AutoWallis Group have concluded a cooperation agreement, under which the company listed in the Premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange will support the Federation’s work by providing mobility services until 2024, the end of the Olympic cycle, a statement by AutoWallis Group says.
The vehicle trading and mobility service provider represents popular vehicle brands and will provide vehicles for the day-to-day use of the athletes specified by the Hungarian Canoe Federation as well as a separate fleet in support of the smooth organization of international competitions organized in Hungary.
This year, Dóra Gazsó, Jonatán Hajdu, Bálint Kopasz, and Bence Nádas will be provided use of the newest Opel and Toyota models thanks to the cooperation of members of the AutoWallis Group (Opel Magyarország, Iniciál Autóház, Sixt Magyarország, Wallis Kerepesi). The athletes are already hard at work preparing for the World Championships to be held in Halifax, Canada from August 3-7, and are happy to receive the new models that support their ease in preparations.
Péter Antal, Director of AutoWallis’s Retail & Services Business Unit, said that as a listed Hungarian company committed to sustainability and green values, they are proud to support Hungarian kayak and canoe sports. He also added that in recent years, the Group has seen that with ambitious goals and hard work, it is possible to achieve cross-border, international success in business just as in sport. Péter Antal highlighted that in addition to being ardent fans, he hopes this act will also contribute to more successes of the Hungarian kayak and canoe sports.
Hungarian Canoe Federation Managing Director Bálint Szakács said that providing for the safe, dependable day-to-day travels of the athletes is especially important to the Federation. He added that the Federation had previously won the right to organize a number of international world competitions for the upcoming three years, where reliable mobility also plays an important role in preparations. Bálint Szakács emphasized that although kayak and canoe sports are fundamentally individual sports, the Federation sees success in coordinated teamwork and he is happy that the AutoWallis Group will now be part of this team.
