Close to 20,000 Newly Infected in the Past 24 Hours

19 690 new infections have been confirmed in Hungary in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of identified infections to 1,582,517 in this country since the start of the epidemic, the government information portal said.

77 patients have died over the past day, and thus, the official total number of deaths related to the new coronavirus infection is now 41,548.

The number of cured persons is reported to be 1,310,420 while the number of active infected persons is 230,549.

4341 patients with coronavirus are in hospital, 163 of whom are on ventilators. The number of people in hospital rose by 123 in one day.

The number of vaccinated persons is 6,365,250, of whom 6,105,342 have already received their second vaccination and 3,693,859 have already received their confirmatory third vaccination.
