Close to 400 COVID-19 Fatalities Over the Week-End

In the past three days, a total of 27,209 new cases of the virus have been found in Hungary and 392 patients have died, according to the official government website (koronavirus.gov.hu). The number of active infected people has risen to 144,533. The last time the number of active cases was this high was in mid-May.

Including the 392 mostly elderly, chronic patients who died in the past three days, the number of fatalities due to the new coronavirus infection has risen to 33,172. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of identified infected persons has increased to 1,025,697.

6,451 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 649 of whom are on ventilators.

According to weekend totals on the official government website, the number of vaccinated people is 6,024,568, of whom 5,794,499 have already received their second vaccination and 1 million 834,000 have already received their third vaccination.

As of today, the vaccination action week has started. From November 22 to 28, from 7 am to 7 pm, people can go to hospital vaccination centers for vaccination without having to register or book an appointment.
