The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 23,077. There are 25,017 people in compulsory home quarantine with 5,099 recovered.
Twelve patients died in the past 24 hours, the youngest of them a 47-year-old man, bringing the number of deaths to 730.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases, according to government figures, is 17,248. The results show that 38% of those infected, 55% of the deceased, and 39% of those recovered live in Budapest. There are currently 589 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, 36 of whom are on ventilators.
