COVID-19: 75 Deaths, 6,688 New Infections in Three Days

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a total of 6688 people were diagnosed with the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in Hungary, bringing the total number of people infected since the beginning of the epidemic to 850,513, according to official figures.

The death toll from the pandemic has risen by 75 in the last three days to 30,567.
A total of 1,588 patients with the coronavirus are in hospital, 355 more than on Friday. Of those, 191 are on ventilators, up 22 from the last update.

A total of 1,720 people have been declared cured in the last three days, bringing the total to 795,562. The number of active infected has increased by 4,893 to 24,384.

Last Monday, also for the period from Friday to Sunday, 51 deaths were reported (+24 now), 3274 new infections (+3,414), 13,989 active infections (+10,395), 908 hospitalised (+680) and 126 patients requiring mechanical ventilation (+65).
