In six cities the decrease is significant, in the other municipalities the concentration is stagnating and nowhere is it increasing, the business news site hvg.hu reports.
The national average concentration of the coronavirus hereditary agent in wastewater continues to decline in the 20th week, the National Center for Public Health (NNK) said on Tuesday.
Significant decreases were observed at the Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, as well as in Eger and Kecskemét in eastern Hungary and in Székesfehérvár, Szekszárd and Tatabánya in the western part of the country. In the other agglomerations, the pattern is stagnating, with no upward trend.
Concentrations of coronavirus hereditary material can be classified as moderate in 21 sampling sites and as elevated in Békéscsaba, SE Hungary.
