101 patients have died, according to data from the official government site koronavirus.gov.hu website for the past four days, published on Tuesday morning. This brings the official number of deaths in Hungary to 45,611 since the start of the pandemic.
During this period, 5,961 new infections have been confirmed, bringing the total number of identified coronavirus infections to 1,860,159, while the number of active infections has fallen to 97,280.
The number of cured persons is steadily increasing and currently stands at 1,717,268.
1,833 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 49 of whom are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated persons in Hungary is 6,403,425, of whom 6,188,501 have received their second, 3,848,282 their third and 267,472 their fourth vaccination.
