Since Thursday last week, 4,978 new cases of new coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Hungary and 106 people have died, according to the government website koronavirus.gov.hu.
This brings the total number of identified infections since the beginning of the outbreak to 1,884,458, while the number of people who have died from coronavirus infection has risen to 45,971.
The number of those cured is 1,760,777 and that of active infected has decreased to 77,710, seven thousand fewer than last Thursday.
1,560 patients with are hospitalized with the new coronavirus infection, 49 of them on ventilators. The number of people hospitalized fell by nearly 100 over Easter, while the number of people on ventilators has remained stable in recent days.
The total number of vaccinated persons in this country is 6,405,123, of whom 6,190,793 have received the second vaccination, 3,856,637 the third and 279,067 the fourth.
