Data published Monday morning about the past three days by the relebvant government website means that the total number of identified infected people since the beginning of the epidemic is 960,844, while the 304 new fatalities, most of them elderly, chronic patients, bring the official total number of deaths to 32,171.
Between Friday and Sunday, the youngest victim was a 4-year-old girl with Down's syndrome. A 36-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man each died without an underlying condition, as did a 26-year-old woman. Three others under 40 died: a 26-year-old man (liver obesity, diabetes, pulmonary embolism, cited by the government as underlying diseases) and a 34-year-old man (hypertension), and a 39-year-old woman (morbid obesity).
The number of active infections has risen to 102,898. 5,286 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 519 of them are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 5,999,516, of whom 5,774,158 have already received their second vaccination and 1,594,000 have already received their third vaccination.
For comparison, these numbers were reported a week ago: 17,834 new infections were found in three days, 214 patients died, 3,980 patients with coronavirus were hospitalized, 434 of them were on ventilators.
