Aggregated data published on the related government website koronavirus.gov.hu show that 42 patients died over the past week. They were mostly elderly and chronic patients, bringing the official total number of deaths as a result of the new coronavirus pandemic to 47,409.
A total of 11,596 new infections were confirmed last week, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 2,070,443.
The number of recovered patients is steadily increasing and is now 1,988,759, while the number of active infected persons has decreased to 34,275. 831 patients with coronavirus are currently hospitalized, ten of whom are on ventilators. There are 3,167 people under official house quarantine.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,417,307, of which 6,203,509 are on their second, 3,895,939 on their third and 338,689 on their fourth vaccination.
