COVID-19: 436 Deaths in the Past Four Days in Hungary

7,989 new cases have been identified in the last four days, the official information site said, bringing the total number of patients diagnosed with coronavirus in Hungary to 1,245,319. In the last four days, 436 people have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 38,743.

The number of people cured has increased, with a total of 1,087,943 people cured and 16,171 people recovered from the infection in the last four days. The number of people with active infection fell by 8,618 over the holiday, bringing the total number of people with active infection to 118,633.

There are 764 fewer people currently hospitalized than four days ago, with 4,063 people currently in need of hospital care, 409 of whom are on ventilators, a decrease of 45 people on ventilators over the last four days.

The official information page koronavirus.gov.hu stressed that the omicron variant of the coronavirus is already present and spreading in Hungary, so everyone is urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. They say that the registration area and the booking website are always open for parents who want to vaccinate their children aged 5-11 years.
