COVID-19: 460 Fatalities Over the Week-End in Hungary

From Friday to Sunday, 460 new deaths have been claimed by the coronavirus epidemic in Hungary. So far, official figures show that 34,326 people have died from complications of the new coronavirus infection.

In the past three days, 27,830 people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 1,096,718 since the start of the pandemic. A week ago, 27,209 new infections and 392 deaths were reported.

The number of active infections has risen by 12,653 since the last data release to 185,141. Those declared cured number 877,251 (+14 717).

There are now 525 more patients hospitalised with the coronavirus, 7,438, than was known on Friday. The number of patients requiring mechanical ventilation has fallen by 157 to 538.
