The number of fatalities related to the new coronavirus infection in Hungary last week was 100, over 12 times the previous week’s figure (8 deaths), according to the government website koronavirus.gov.hu.
Last week's outbreak data from the official information site also states that the number of new infections was 12,157 (compared to the previous week: - 2585).
The number of people requiring hospitalization was 978 (compared to - 273 in the previous week), while those requiring ventilators numbered: 23 (compared to - 4 the previous week).
The number of Hungarians vaccinated with first dose was 6,416,363 (compared to previous week +614); that of those vaccinated with second dose was 6,202,522 (+553 compared to previous week); 3,894,442 people were vaccinated with the third dose (+1,220 compared to the previous week, while the number of those vaccinated with the fourth dose was 334,870 (+3,083 compared to the previous week).
