COVID-19: Active Infections Down by Almost 3,000

In the previous week, 4,098 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Hungary, while the number of active infected has decreased by 2,925 to 15,608, according to the related government website koronavirus.gov.hu.

Thus, the total number of identified infections has been 2,162,093 since the beginning of the outbreak.

61 patients have died over the past week, bringing the official total number of deaths to 48,245. To date, 2,098,240 people have recovered from the disease.

There are currently 770 patients with coronavirus in hospital, 11 of whom are on ventilators.

The total number of people vaccinated against coronavirus in Hungary is 6,419,996, of whom 6,206,388 have received their second vaccination, 3,901,632 their third and 387,872 their fourth.
