By Monday morning, another 189 Hungarians, mostly elderly, chronic patients, died due to the new coronavirus infection bringing the official number of deaths to 20,161.
7,263 new infections had been registered, increasing the total number of identified infections to 641,124 since the start of the epidemic. There are 12,291 patients treated in hospital with the coronavirus infection, 1,497 of them are on ventilators, the related government website reports.
The number of people recovered is constantly increasing, currently standing at 399,961, and that of active infected people has already increased to 221,002.
