COVID-19: Fewer and Fewer Active Infections in Hungary

2,740 new infections have been confirmed in the past 24 hours in Hungary, bringing the total number of identified infections since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,876,946, according to the government portal koronavirus.gov.hu.

The deaths of 26 patients, most of them elderly and chronic, bring the official total number of fatalities related to the new coronavirus infection to 45,838.

The number of cured persons is now 1,742,051, while the number of active infected persons has decreased to 89,057.

1,717 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 47 of whom are on ventilators.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,404,541, of whom 6,190,140 are on their second vaccination, 3,854,092 on their third and 276,208 on their fourth.
