COVID-19: Growing Number of Patients Hospitalized

The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in another 823 Hungarian citizens in the past 24 hours, thus increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 389,622.

85 patients died, bringing the official number of deaths to 13,837. The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 298,773 people, the number of active infected people has decreased to 77,012 people.

3,979 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 318 of whom are on ventilators. So far, 341,958 people have been vaccinated, 131,593 of them have already received their second vaccination, the site koronavirus.gov.hu says.

The number of hospitalized and ventilated people has been rising slightly for about a week, due to the fact that after falling and then stagnating, the number of new infections began to rise again, last week there was a day when it rose to over 2,000.
