COVID-19: More and More Cases Detected in Hungary

A total of 8,036 new cases of coronavirus infections have been confirmed nationwide in the past week, according to the latest information published on Wednesday by the related government portal. During the same week, 35 new coronavirus-related deaths were recorded.

This means that the key figures have almost doubled in a week, with only 4,663 new cases and 14 deaths reported in the previous week.

There are currently 628 patients with coronavirus in hospital, 16 of whom are on ventilators. A total of 727 are under official house quarantine, according to the information.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the number of identified infected people has risen to 1,940,824, while the death toll has risen to 46,696.
