COVID-19: More Infected, More Deaths Over the Past Week

Both the number of Hungarians infected with the new coronavirus and that of those dying as a result of this infection are increasing, according to a summary published by the related government website koronavirus.gov.hu about the past seven days.

In the past week, 48 people died, mostly elderly and chronically ill – six more than over the previous week –, bringing the death toll to 47,457.

Number of people requiring hospitalization: 923 (compared to the previous week: +92 )

Number of people requiring ventilators: 14 (+4 compared to the previous week)

Number vaccinated with first dose: 6,417,738 (+431 compared to the previous week)

Number of people also vaccinated with the second dose: 6,203,972 (+463 compared to the previous week)

Number vaccinated with the third dose: 3,896,501 (+562 compared to the previous week)

Number vaccinated with the fourth dose: 340,651 (compared to the previous week: +1,962)
