COVID-19: No. of Fatalities Surpasses 45,000 in Hungary

Over the past three days, 134 patients have died, bringing the official number of new coronavirus related deaths in this country to 45,095. The government website koronavirus.gov.hu also reports that 5,839 new cases have been confirmed in this period. This is 1,946 more per day than the last figure the previous weekend.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of identified infected persons has increased to 1,829,928, while the number of active infected persons has decreased to 103,565.

There are 2,061 patients hospitalised with the coronavirus, down by nearly 150 from Friday's figure. There are now 74 on ventilators, 16 fewer than there were on Friday.

The total number of people vaccinated is 6,400,547, of whom 6,183,247 are on their second vaccination, 3,834,724 are on their third, and 242,651 are on their fourth.
