Pandemic Fatality Number Surpasses 39,000 in Hungary

115 patients died in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 39,009. According to information by the official government website, the number of recovered persons is steadily increasing and currently stands at 1,097,628.

In the last 24 hours, 3,005 new infections have been confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infections to 1,249,694 since the beginning of the epidemic, according to coronavirus.gov.hu on Wednesday.

The number of active infected persons has decreased by 3,731 and now stands at 113,057. There are currently 3,854 patients with coronavirus in hospital (down by 165), of whom 357 (-17) are on ventilators.

The previous day, 15,551 coronavirus tests were performed, 19.3% of which were positive. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a country tests enough, it has a true picture of the spread of the epidemic if the positivity rate does not exceed 5%.

On Tuesday, 5,118 people received their first vaccine, 5,201 received the second dose and 8460 received the third dose.

This brings the total number of vaccinated to 6,257,771, of whom 5,973,555 have already received their second dose and 3 161 930 have already received their confirmatory third dose.
