By Saturday, 1,438 more Hungarian citizens had been diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 350,587.
87 people died of the infection in the past 24 hours. The majority of them were elderly and chronic patients, bringing the official total number of deaths to 11,264.
The number of recovered people is also constantly increasing, currently standing at 227,325, while the number of active infected people has decreased to 111,998. 4,408 coronavirus patients are card for in hospital, 328 of whom are on ventilators, according to a government information page.
The day before, there were 1,513 new infections and 111 deaths reported. 4,600 coronavirus patients were treated in hospital, 337 of them were on ventilator.
